MAXXIS RAZR AT811 TYRE: PROS AND CONS

Maxxis Razr AT811

The Maxxis Razr AT811 recently hit the Australian market and became one of the most dominant 4×4 tyre choice for many truck and SUV owners. It features an aggressive off-road focused design while offering long life, excellent durability, and true winter performance. Maxxis advanced the tyre sector with a great example of a niche brand offering a top-tier all terrain tyre!

MAXXIS RAZR AT811 REVIEW

We tested the AT811 Razr in various conditions, ranging from sand and dirt to gravel and asphalt, and found that it did all Maxxis said it would. Maxxis threw a ton of technology at the Razr AT811, which is built very much on top of its all-terrain tyre production line. The 3D blocks improve grip in demanding off-road conditions, as well as the aggressive armour sidewall design which maximizes sidewall traction and puncture resistance.

This same design, however, also gives an impeccable on-road performance. The wide overlapping tread blocks give the tyre superb stability on-road and solid grip on dry roads too. Plus, the design has been optimized for a quiet ride, despite the fact that the design generally looks very noisy.

Overall, you’d have high expectations from a quality and expensive all-terrain tyre, and Maxxis Razr AT811 tick them all. So take it anywhere, any time, the new Razr AT811 is built for off-road grip and your daily commute.

MAXXIS RAZR AT811 DESIGN

Looking at this tyre, it’s obvious this isn’t a typical all-terrain option. Sporting an aggressive four-row tread block design with lots more void space than a typical AT tyre, it’s built to grip.

The tread compound is built to resist cuts, shuck out on the trails, and hold up to prolonged on-road use. As a result, Maxxis is able to back the Razr AT811 tyre with a 50,000 mile tread life rating for LT sizes and 60,000 miles for all other sizes. This is slightly less than some of the top warranties in the all-terrain segment, which now stretch up to 65,000 miles for some of the premium brands.

On top of all this, the Razr AT811 is also capable in all climates and comes certified for true winter use with the three-peak mountain snowflake logo on the sidewall.
